In 1893, author Ingersoll Lockwood published a strange fantasy novel called Baron Trump’s Marvellous Underground Journey The main character was a young aristocrat known as Baron Trump More than a century later, Donald Trump would become president of the United States And his youngest son would be named Barron Trump One extra “r” separates the names . . But the name isn’t the only strange similarity Lockwood’s fictional Baron lives at Castle Trump He discovers an old manuscript written by a mysterious man called Don Fum The manuscript sends Baron on a journey searching for a hidden “World within a World.” . . And where does the journey take him? Toward Russia The book specifically describes Baron and his dog traveling to Petersburg, then toward Archangel, as they search for an entrance into the hidden world. . . Then the coincidence gets even stranger Just three years later, in 1896, the same author published another novel Its title: 1900; or, The Last President . . That book begins with political chaos in New York City following a presidential election Crowds fill the streets of Manhattan And the story specifically mentions the Fifth Avenue Hotel as one of the places threatened by the unrest. . . So more than 120 years before Donald Trump became president, the same author had already written about: Baron Trump Castle Trump A mysterious man named Don A journey toward Russia And another novel called The Last President centered around political upheaval after an election . . None of this proves that Lockwood predicted Donald Trump, and there is no established connection between these fictional books and the Trump family But the books aren’t an internet fabrication The original 1893 and 1896 editions are preserved by the Library of Congress today. And that’s what makes the coincidence so eerie How did two forgotten books from the 1890s end up containing so many details that sound strangely familiar today? #barontrump #conspiracytheory #strangehistory #mystery #eerie - @casevoids
