@packleaderdogs: This is a difficult one to watch for sure because it could have been easily been avoided with knowledge of Dog Psychology. This dog is giving obvious signs that he is tense and absolutely not interested in meeting. The woman could have just walked away from the situation immediately. The guy could have ignored them or given space the moment he recognized the body language or when she said "he's a biter." Unfortunately, neither knew what to do and the result was what it was. To be clear, I'm not blaming either of them or going after them. They obviously don't know which is the purpose of this content. Both of the humans seem to be nice people doing kind things. One doing her best to give this dog a good life and the other helping people who need bike lights. The lazy way would be to blame the dog and shame the people. The problem with that is it doesn't solve any problems. More empathy and compassion is needed in this world. Was this dog's body language/energy obvious to you? *𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰 𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘜.𝘚. People need to learn that muzzles aren't bad. Use muzzles on dogs that are bite risks!

She shouldn’t be walking that dog without a muzzle if she knows he bites. Also why doesn’t he leave as soon as she tells him he bites and you can tell the dogs getting more agitated the longer he’s interacting with them.

Why not use a bite-proof muzzle if you know the dog bites?

Having a strong pity like that on an extended leash that’s meant for smaller dogs is her first mistake and if she knew her dog has behaviour problems, bringing the dog in very populated areas is also another mistake without taking certain precautions to ensure of the dog safety and other people safety as well

azzy :
1.) he should’ve left the second she said he was a biter 2.) she needs a better leash and a muzzle until he is less reactive.

The dog needs a muzzle if it has a bite history.

Both are in the wrong, if they own a reactive dog that is known as a “biter” they need a muzzle, and a proper harness and lead not that flimsy one, the guy also asking to pet needs to go away the moment he is told it’s a biter, both are in the wrong

Bro, why continue to engage with the dog after she say it’s a biter? That’s weird behaviour on him man 🤷
