@officialfuturespaceworld: Captain Smit Machchhar, a 39-year-old father of two from Mumbai, is being celebrated nationwide after fighting off a knife attack from his own co-pilot mid-flight. He was flying Flydubai 1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv on September 30 when the co-pilot allegedly st@bbed him and tried to crash the plane carrying 174 people. Despite his wounds, Machchhar fought back, got the cockpit door open, and let crew and passengers rush in to subdue the attacker. Netanyahu told CNN his bravery prevented what could have become another 9/11. The plane made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, where Machchhar underwent surgery and was reported out of danger before being airlifted to Dubai for further care. Back home, Prime Minister Modi personally called his family, and the President and Vice President both praised his courage. Crowds gathered outside his Mumbai home calling for him to receive national honors. #CaptainSmitMachchhar #FlyDubai #IndianHero #Mumbai #aviationheroes
