I think you hit the nail on the head. You can have access to all the testing in the world, but if you don’t know what exists or what to ask for, you may not even know where to start. We were very proactive about genetic testing because I have a degree in genetics and evolutionary biology, and my mother comes from a long line of geneticists, so this was honestly a no-brainer for us. I really hope content like yours continues to spread awareness and empower mothers to ask questions, advocate for themselves, and, when appropriate, push for the genetic testing that could provide answers. GET THE GENETIC TEST if you can ladies !

My daughter had all the normal testing while pregnant. she was watched by the doctors because baby was small but other than that no one thought there was anything else wrong until after she was born

had all the tests, MULTIPLE ultrasounds cause she was measuring a little small, but no one caught it, all tests showed absolutely nothing. my ob called me herself and told me everything was good.

Yer but the genetic testing dose not test for everything! Only certain ones. Once they are out and you think something is happening then they can do a border test

I was suppose to get genetic testing on my last because I was considered high risk because of my age. My insurance didn’t cover it and I didn’t have the thousand plus dollars to get it done 🤷🏼♀️my first two, it wasn’t even a thing….
