I thought it came from the story of Moses when there was a plague and Moses was told to hold up a staff with a snake on it and anyone who looked at it would be healed

There’s a similar myth in the Bible about the serpent of bronze Moses used to heal the Israelites

There a Bible story about people getting healed from looking at a pole with a fiery serpent on it. This is on Numbers 21 starting with verse 8

My neurologist looked at me crazy when I told her GOD can only take seizures away, not medicine. The meds are only taming the symptoms, but only GOD can deliver me, & He will.

Snake venom and oil in little doses back in antiquity helped heal abscesses, pains in joints and so many other related skin diseases so I just think they used it as a symbol for the healing properties it represented

The serpent, even pre Bible, was a symbol of knowledge, divine awakening, kundalini and healing. Later, abrahamic religions demonized the snake. They invented the story of Adam and eve as a way to discourage people from awakening. Serpents themselves were never originally evil, but that belief spread after Christian colonization. Also, Jesus used kundalini (the two spiraling serpents) to heal, because that's how you do it. The Serpent energy goes throughout the body and then out of the hands as reiki, or just "chi". That's part of how Jesus healed. If you guys actually ever met Jesus you would call him demonic with all of this brainwashing religion has done...

Spot on ! Look at the word pharmakua: Sorcery, witchcraft. 1.the use of drugs, potions, and enchantments 2. poisoning ("pharmacy") 3. (by extension) the occult, witchcraft 4. (by implication) the remedy, the cure (literally or figuratively}

I have always thought that it was because the Most High told Moses to put a serpent on a stick to heal the people when they looked at it they got healed, so my question is his it before Moses time or after Moses time because if this came from Moses time and I would believe that more The book of Numbers 21:8 to 9
