@streetvoices11: “My Parents Are Immigrants” — Then He Said THIS About ICE 😳 In this campus interview, a young man says his parents immigrated from Cuba and explains why he still supports ICE. His argument is that legal immigration and illegal entry are not the same thing. He says people who follow the legal process can spend years dealing with paperwork and requirements, so he believes ignoring that process is unfair to immigrants who followed the rules. ICE’s official role includes enforcing federal immigration law, including identification, arrest, detention and removal of people subject to immigration enforcement. The interesting part here is that his immigrant background doesn’t automatically determine his political position on enforcement. U.S. immigrants and children of immigrants — do you agree with his distinction between legal and illegal immigration? 👇 #politics #news #immigration #ice #cubanamerican
that's what I've been saying but I'm considered racist.

As a daughter of an immigrant....I kind of relate to what he's saying. My Mexican family worked hard to become citizens. It shouldn't be fair that people can get in without the hard work.

If someone in Cuba has no relatives in the U.S. to sponsor them and no realistic way to obtain a visa, what legal path is actually available to them? It’s easy to say ‘come legally,’ but what option do they realistically have?

Many of us sacrificed everything to immigrate the right way so it frustrates us when other people don’t follow the rules and give us a bad reputation
