I can’t tell if that’s a Forrester but if it is, it’s the front bushings in the lower control arms

Sounds like a strut mount.

Take it outside and do some low speed, hard brake stabs, if that bushing is bad. You’ll see that wheel shift forwards and backwards in the wheel wheel.
