I'm so upset. I have so many stories on Tapas. So many that I'm not even gonna remember them all in order to try and look for them elsewhere.😭

I’m legit so astonished how a app can just do this, always buy books in actual physical forms because I feel like a lot of people forget that companies and apps can just do this

They also disabled the “watch ads” option we had in order to read 3 extra episodes for free a day.

They are basically shutting down the app now by preventing people from accessing the ink store. It’s sad that this is how Tapas is ending. Shutting out the creators and readers that built that platform. 😩

We had to find out from the trades just to get that pos announcement. I swear shutting down ink is an excuse to manufacture low readership to justify what they're doing. Like Kaoko is straight up evil for this. Because you know they aren't letting the creators out of their contracts early, are they?

this is just as bad a pocket comics shutting down. I was so upset and this isn't going to stop people from being a pirate, it's just going to ramp it up

So many platforms pocket comics, billibilli comics, and now Tapas.

I’m hoarding the last of my ink for one story as I’m pretty sure they’ll be releasing for a while longer and I want to KNOW.

This is so sad I've been on this app for 10 yrs now and it was one of my first apps I used to read. A lot of my fav comics have creators that are no longer active so there is no place to read them anywhere else and they will probably die with tapas

They should at least offer refunds to the people who spent HUNDREDS of dollars on this app. Because if we are unable to access it anymore then thats just ridiculous

This sucks. I just joined Tapas a few months back because I had heard one of my favorite series from Webtoon moved over here (Let's Play), and it took FOREVER for me to track down. I feel for the creator, as Webtoon was a shitshow for her, and I'm equally curious about where some of these series are going to migrate to.

I'm honestly not surprised. This is the same company that lost distribution rights to BDO. It seems like they are running their webcomic division the same way they ran their game division.

Do we know if we’ll still be able to access the site after the shut down next year? Like, will I still be able to reread my liked chapters, or is everything getting nuked?
