@theultimuttrsq: 🚨 CALI UPDATE 🚨 Our sweet Cali made it through surgery and is coming home later today! ❤️ Her final vet bill was $914. What began as a routine spay became a much more serious surgery when the vet discovered severe pyometra. Cali had extreme difficulty waking from anesthesia and required IV medications, additional monitoring and several X-rays. She’ll also be coming home with antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medication and pain management. Since our earlier post, you incredible humans have donated just over $500! We are so grateful. That leaves us with roughly $400 left to cover today’s bill. Because of everything her body went through today, her heartworm treatment had to be postponed. She’ll spend the next couple of weeks recovering before returning for treatment, which will be approximately $225. These dogs rarely come to us with simple medical histories. We pick up the pieces, get them healthy and give them the chance at the life they deserved all along. We cannot do it without you. If you can help us close Cali’s $400 gap, every single donation matters. ❤️ Thank you to EVERYONE who stepped up for our happy girl today!
