Don’t forget the part where players started setting up quarantine zones (which ended up failing)

It got so bad, Blizzard had to do a hard rest of the servers.
If it had been real world setting, it would've been basically UNDOING TIME ITSELF and then altering the fabric of the universe itself to make sure it doesn't happen again.

This photo wasn’t from the Corrupted Blood incident, as Orgrimmar is using the Cataclysm model, which takes place years after the Corrupted Blood incident. This is a photo of a hack that happened years later.

it's accurate in hindsight too since some ppl acted similarly when covid happened in the real world.

it was specifically that pets could be summoned and dismissed at will; the game cleansed pets but it wouldn't remember to cleanse your dismissed pets, so you could get your pet infected and then dismiss it to bring it out of the boss area

Eve online’s economic system is so similar to real life it’s often studied by analysts, for example, trading hubs have a stable tax rate, if people try to set up a trading hub with a 0% tax rate with the intent to starve all other hubs everyone works together to destroy it, that’s one of the simplest examples, there’s way more crazy stuff going on in eve online, like the fact that wars are so expensive (in terms of actual, real life money) that people are afraid to start or prolong them
