Big facts! Keeping the truck clean and organized (belly, bins, and cab) makes the day go by smoother as well. Knowing where the material is exactly on the truck, helps get it to the lineman quicker or material made up quicker. Remember that they typically work from the top down, so as they are work anticipate what they need next (as mentioned). Always have material ready to go. Always have hand ties ready also. Don’t forget to always ask questions if you do not know. Someone mentioned you toping out soon, congrats!

This is very good info! Some of these younguns come outta “line school” with that “I already know that” mentality and it is frowned upon when something like “I know” gets spewed out. So you’re topping out soon? That’s awesome!

Very well said, I’ve always tried to been one to teach those who want to learn. Best tips video I’ve seen for apprentices. I’ve always told them one day before you know it you’ll be here in the shoes as JL so you better learn or you’ll be lost and risking it all

Tip of the day…. Have bucket guy measure the thickness of pole, then you can set the D.A. Nuts to that width! The JL will be happy!!
