Professional Greenhouse worker here 👋 Sometimes that plant is just an asshole 🤷♀️🤣 Seriously though, that willow tree needs at least 5 minutes of water a day. Meaning, set the hose down by the base of the tree and turn on the water. Wait 5 minutes and turn it off. KEEP WATERING THROUGH THE WINTER! Water less frequently, since its cold and it doesn't evaporate as quickly, but still water. That's the #1 reason people lose trees over the winter. You're doing a great job!!!

The willow comments have me so intrigued. My grandparents have multiple willows on their property. One is massive. Their next-door neighbor has one the size of a house. I guarantee neither of them has ever watered their damn trees. Especially considering my grandparents are in their 90s now, still kicking it at home. And!!! We live in an area that’s considered desert (Eastern Washington). So I have questions…

Blueberries need friends. Peach trees do not require friends but when fruit yields they will produce more if they have friends. My rule of thumb is there is a plant for everyone you just have to find what works for you! I have a green thumb but being a busy body I like to keep my outdoor plants for longevity and mostly self sufficient. Your zone decides a lot. I’m in zone 6 and this time of the year is actually a fantastic time to plant a lot of things. Gives them a chance to root well before winter and give the potential for a better boost in spring. Tulips daffodils and other bulbs are great to plant now and up till hard frost. And they will yield for years and require near nothing!

Don’t put mulch near the house, it’ll attract termites!

You can plant trees in fall. I suggest oak trees (willow oak and pin oak). River birch are also pretty.

Sometimes trees and plants like that are picky. You might have to clear some of the grass or weeds around them and give them lots of water. Maybe hook up a sprinkler and auto-time it.

Depending on your zone, late fall planting might be the move for you! For around the porch, do hostas they are hardy full coverage and split/transplant easily. If you are getting to much direct sun it could be why your fruits are looking sparse. Prune back the dead leaves and branches to disperse the nutrients and come back in the spring!

Not sure of the climate you are in but I do think that fruit and citrus trees need to be in pairs to grow and produce.

I’ve melted two cacti before but am still a succulent person, so I have faith you’re gonna be just fine! Sometimes the soil just isn’t what the plants need and they can all be temperamental so I with you best of luck 😂

Water at night or in the am before the sun hits the leaves, it burns them. Also now is a good time to plant potatoes(I think) and garlic!!!! I know you like garlic, so definitely do that!

@Been Graced Farm❌️:It's perfect time to plant trees and bushes. Planting in Fall allows them to establish roots over winter, and be stronger for the next summer. So, get those replacement fruit trees in the ground . 😉
Also, for your blueberries, be sure you have a couple of different varieties, as their cross pollination is important to reduce lots of berries. 👍
Water deeply vs often. It helps roots travel down and make plant stronger vs shallow root systems.

Research blueberries. You need male & female bushes and 2/3 planted closed together for them to thrive (will take a couple years)
