That’s beyond damage. They need to go get blood work and a cat scan. It’s probably a product they are having a bad reaction to and don’t know it

When I had breakage like this, like the tiny hairs, I was not retaining length at all and it makes sense bc those tiny hairs are the ends breaking. If you see longer strands and less of these tiny hairs, it may still be breakage but it could also just be normal shedding if you can see a white bulb at the end of the strand

Yeah my hair used to look like this for years until I stopped relaxers, heat, extensions, wigs n corrected my iron levels. Now it’s just shed hair

So let me give an explanation, its been happening in the past as well but I kept cutting them off totally, 2x now. My hair is currently 2 and half years old. and yes I got this from brushing out 3days blowdried hair, I normally brush it while washing. I definitely have a low iron. also im in a country with no single afro hairstylist😭
