This the fault of all the parents who file frivolous lawsuits against the district when their kids are disciplined at school. Teachers are not allowed to physically intervene to avoid blame in lawsuits. When a parent doesn’t get their way they threaten to file lawsuits and the school caves to their whims. I worked for LAUSD for twelve years and the parents and kid’s behavior got progressively worse. They try to blame the school and staff? They are limited to what they can do because they have to prevent a lawsuit.
