@saltytattooedmomma: 🚨 Mr. Secretary… Why Did REQUIRED Army Uniform Prices Just Jump Up to 57%?! #USArmy #PeteHegseth #Military #ArmyLife #MilitaryNews
Gas stations on base are higher than off. Randolf AFB. Go back to no gas tax on base and commisarys are at price +5%.

You have a few years to acquire all these items.

We dealt with the same thing in 1984. You just have to budget your money better, that's what we were told.

Save throughout the year. It’s very simple. Not many other jobs get a clothing allowance at all. Soooooo yeah

Chris :
If a Soldier is SMART they’d replace their uniform items throughout the year so when they DO get their annual clothing allowance, it’s minimal to them! That’s how I did it and advised my troops to do the same!

the AGSU is not a uniform u wear everyday, so if u keep your physical standards you shouldn't have to replace it all the time. the working uniform is a different story. u get uniform allowance once a year. u get all thise uniforms when u go to bootcamp, so u don't have to change uniforms for at least 2 yrs before having to buy new working uniform and thats depending on your job. is it bad it was increase yeah but maybe there is a purpose to it. like keeping standards so u don't have to buy new ones every year.

The army gives them an initial issue at no cost at basic. Then the active duty can swap out any damaged uniforms or ones that no longer fit once they get to their first duty station for free. After that active duty must pay for replacements.

Don’t forget the patches, cost to sew in the patches. The medals and robins, name plates, and alterations costs. Those are even more costs. This is getting out of hand. And you darn well Tri-Care ain’t answering the phone 😂😂😭😭

I never served, so has this always been a thing? I have always assumed all the uniforms were provided to the men and women of the military. I think this is absolutely wrong that they should have to pay for anything that is required.

Well, if that’s the case, then these soldiers need more money. That’s a simple fix. Call Donald J Trump and ask him when are they gonna get more money and get a uniform allowance that matches what they need and stop putting it on the backs of our soldiers. I’m a firm believer that whatever you ask Donald J Trump to do and fix I’m sure he’ll fix it

You should look up the dress blues of the navy and marines, my pea coat in boot camp at a lowered price was still nearly $300. Years he uniform allowance isn’t there to replace every item it’s there to replace worn out items or out grown uniforms. When new uniforms are mandated they are offered at a reduced rate, and military members are given an amount of time that the uniforms must be implemented so not an entire paycheck is going towards it. Military members are not only payed for their service, payed for their housing, if they have a spouse and children are also payed for that. If you live on post there is affordable housing available if off post it is up to the military members to budget their pay just like everyone else

They need a bigger allowance like the Feds have. My husband actually donated some of his allowance to the agency's explorer program this year.
