How did she get the nozzle into her vehicle? The nozzle is a quarter inch larger for this reason. You can put gas in a diesel but not the other way.

message to new drivers: NEVER PUT DIESEL IN YOUR CAR! it will fry your engine likely before you even turn your car on, but if you ever accidentally do: dont turn the car on, get the gas siphoned out asap, tow your car and contact a mechanic !
