Airplane engine is not a car engine, if your car engine has metal shavings in the oil no amount of magnets will help, you should never have metal shavings in a car engine.

In older cars, the oil pan (sump) had magnetic drain plugs that would prevent metal shavings in the sump to circulate in the oil system.
