@marcusbates39: Mill Creek Dam @ Mill Creek Nature Park in Riverview NB 🇨🇦 Have you ever visited this special gem right here in Riverview? Did you know that this peaceful view started as a military project? The Mill Creek Reservoir looks like a natural hidden gem, but it was actually built by the Canadian Navy in 1959. They created the 12-acre lake and concrete buttress dam as a water supply for nearby HMCS Coverdale — the WWII radio station that tracked German communications. Today, it's been completely transformed into the heart of the 330-acre Mill Creek Nature Park and recognized as a Fundy Biosphere Region Amazing Place. Hard to believe this quiet spot for kayaking, hiking, and enjoying the Wabanaki (Acadian) forest started as a strategic military asset! Follow along as we experience NB 🇨🇦 together.
