You have to be the example, dad. Little girls grow up and often subconsciously choose men who are very much like their fathers.

I think this song is great for everyone! Adults and children living this have no clue what is happening to them. This song explains it all. Love Taylor!

Again. The question falls on women. How do we raise daughters to recognize this behavior when the bigger, more important question is how do you raise sons to always respect women?

I also live inside Taylor Swift 😂 I also have a lifetime of experience with narcissism, and you’re right that it’s SO clear that’s what she’s talking about

I’ve taught my daughter to look for: someone not taking accountability, or can’t/does not apologize, gaslighting, the lack of empathy, and to have discernment with performative charisma.

People forget that Stockholm Syndrome exist. They, in a sense, torture you and then give you a reward. To your brain, that reward is enough to hold on to because it gives a false sense of security that he just might change.

We call out bad behavior and stop allowing bad behavior to be hidden because we don't want to be uncomfortable. We learn about the just world phenomenon and victim blaming and coersive control and we teach it along with sexual abuse and physical abuse.

We need to make sure our daughters (sons too...its not just men that do this) are taught their worth and not to back down from something they feel they deserve. Dont shrink yourself. Dont accept mediocre just because that's what's available. In a way, we need to teach our kids yolt be "selfish" in a certain way. Not so much "I want this because I want this" but moreso "I want this because is important to me"

It took me years to realize that a person could be so cold and calculating. I never knew people could be like he was (lying, cheating, gaslighting). My strength to leave and end it came from my pregnancy.
