Leafs didn’t need Knies because he’s a playoff guy 😂

Marchenko gets at least 15 more than Knies this season.

Imagine if the Leafs had him AND Marner

3 points in a 6-3 win and not a plus and every leaf hater is willing to judge the whole season and trade based of this alone in an 84 game season 😂

The leafs could use a guy like this, maybe they should trade Marchenko

Happy for Matty. I really like him on the Leafs.

Everyone commenting on this trade, sometimes the reason for trade is not publicly known, a lot of times guys need a fresh start and just don’t want to be on a team, I said this to leafs fans here, if he lights it up there and plays like he did first part of his career, it’s more than a simple trade but other dynamics

Honestly knies didn’t do much when he got his contract on the leafs. Mathews doesn’t do much without Marner either. Knies fell off on the leafs. I’m hoping he does better there. Great player but I think the chemistry in Toronto didn’t fit his play style

Best place for him - a team environment not a "every diva for themselves" like the leafs' culture.

As a trade deal he becomes first line, I would do the same

Getting away from Toronto will do Knies good. They thought he hit a ceiling, but they held him back. He's gonna be good with the CBJ
