I just feel like boys are so much easier to fall into peer pressure. Like no matter how much love and kindness and compassion you sow into a young boy the second another man caters to him all that goes right out the window.

Literally my nephew was the sweetest boy! And continues to be so. He was so insightful and asked deep question. If he didn’t understand things like religion or sexuality he would ask me. I’d try to give a neutral and respectful answer and encouraged him to find his own answer. He was so full of empathy. He’s growing up and I can definitely see what outside influences like school and his peers start to do. The other day he made a joke about women belonging in the kitchen. I just hate to see it :(

Wanting a hysterectomy after having my first and only daughter- I dont think I could have the capacity of knowing my son would smile in my face but be awful to others when I’m not around.

one time i said “it’s scary to have a son because you can raise them the best you can but you can’t protect them from the world around them.” but then i realized the same can be said for having a daughter who can potentially end up being a victim and now im questioning whether i want children in the future.
