Ironically these are usually the exact same people that make comments like "no one knows how hard it is to bi! everyone excludes us!" then turn around & say everyone else is also bi .

I really don’t like this thing that some queer people especially those with fluid sexualities or even sometimes little to know attraction romantically and or sexually (I say this as someone who is aroace) is that they’ll say “everybody should be ___ “ or “everybody’s a bit of this”, which is just progressive homophobia . In general we can have conversations about bigotry in the community without saying that “everybody’s a bit bi” or “everybody should be ace/aro etc” because you’re not only invalidating other people’s identities, but also people within your community. People are being killed and assaulted for their attraction. Let’s not spew conversion therapy rhetoric to further their agenda.

Just because sexuality is fluid for you doesn’t mean it’s fluid for everyone. I don’t understand why that simple concept is so hard for some people to grasp.

“A lot of straight people probably don’t realize they’re Bi” is so different from “everyone is a little Bi”. I have no idea how people got it so wrong. It’s such a huge fcking mess and it’s embarrassing. Same with the “sexuality is fluid” statement. The context matters, it is fluid for Bi people. End of story. I genuinely don’t understand how anyone can misunderstand this. There’s a spectrum for Bi people, but there’s no spectrum for homosexuals and heterosexuals. Words have meanings but apparently a lot of people just go off personal vibes instead of established definitions.

bisexuals often have the least empathy for people who can only be attached to one or the other

It kinda just feels like those people lack empathy on a very basic human level. They don’t get what it’s like to not experience attraction based on gender so everyone that does must just be lying. That’s like a preschoolers level of empathetic understanding like get ur head out of ur asses omfg

They will literally tell lesbians we are being closed minded and exclusionary as if our sexual orientation is a choice and if we want to “be kind and inclusive” we would welcome males who want to be included.

do I think more people are bi or queer than theyre willing to admit? yes. mainly due to internalized homophobia. but as a lesbian, im lesbian. thats it. and to be lesbian you do not sleep with or desire men in that way. its not a difficult concept

biologically speaking you are attracted to who you are attracted to, your brain develops attracting to multiple genders or one gender and thats it (for the most part)
