They must be saved by Saturday, October 3 at 4 PM. These sweet, bonded best friends are six and seven years old, spayed, and currently at the South LA Animal Shelter. They were owner-surrendered because of a landlord. They both have an upper respiratory infection—essentially a cat cold—along with decreased appetite and weight loss. A URI is treatable and should not be a death sentence, but they’re struggling in the overcrowded shelter environment. Once they’re out, reunited, and receiving proper care, they’ll have a much better chance to recover. They’re currently separated so their eating can be monitored, but when they were kenneled together, they were always cuddled up in their box. You can see how much they love each other. My heart absolutely breaks for Misty and Blue 💔 They already lost their home through no choice of their own, and now these two best friends are sick, separated, and facing euthanasia. A URI is treatable. They deserve the chance to recover, be reunited, and stay together in a safe home where they are loved again. Please keep sharing Misty and Blue everywhere and tagging rescues, fosters, and anyone who may be able to help. They only need the right person to see them in time. I’m praying these two leave the shelter together and get the second chance they both deserve
