Atheism doesn’t create peace. It reduces tribalism which in return slowly outputs more peace. However there are other mechanisms such as education and economic value that can lead to the same effects.

People don’t realize that peace and a less religious population are both affects, not a cause AND an affect. This is already well documented and the truth is that existential security is what creates these outcomes. As social services, safety, low corruption, democratic institutes, etc increase, things like crime and violence decrease. Additionally, the same factors also lower pressure and increase security among the population, which lowers religion as people have less problems that lead them to religion for peace of mind and stability. To reiterate, it’s not a lack of religion that creates peace but a higher degree of existential security that creates peace and lowers religion.

1. Correlation≠Causation 2. Most of those countries were historically Protestant and applied a secular form of Government with the protestant work ethic. Thus those countries are best because religion pushed them to be best by being not obsessed by it and by working hard.
