And the Halogram and John start to form a true mentor relationship with Halogram even quoting his dad to praise him. Last episode is gonna change their dynamic into a solid one I believe

The show isnt even subtle about signaling this! Hal mentions his mother dying of cancer and having now lost both parents and John FEELS SO STRONGLY IN THAT MOMENT HIS CONSTRUCT FADES AND THIS IS THE GUY WHO DOESNT NEED A RING TO KEEP THEM GOING

John is repeatedly shown to be one of the most compassionate people on the show. Which, considering the abuse he suffered is kinda incredible, and highlights his strong will.

This video is complete facts. It’s like no one has an issue that Walter and Jesse respect and love each other despite it all, but the idea that John could have genuine sadness for Hal’s experience does just feel like their looking at John as a thing not a dude 😭

The clash of interests and trauma were insane lol. I think one of the lesser reasons for Hal-o-gram in the story was to show what their relationship would be if you stripped the tension of the ring.

Mind you, when after he ends up being BURNED ALIVE due to Hal's recklessness, John goes out of his way to say that Hal probably didn't mean to seriously injure him. The last time I saw anyone be this down bad for the white person in their life, was Ekko in Arcane. He absolutely cares about that man.
