Ko je za vožnju? 😁🌊
One of the simplest ways I’m supporting my gut right now is with homemade beef bone broth 🦴✨ 🥩 INGREDIENTS • Almost 3 pounds of round beef marrow bones • 1.5 pounds of long beef marrow bones • 2 pounds of beef oxtail, also known as colitas de res • Water • Sea salt to taste 🔥 INSTRUCTIONS 1. Roast the bones and oxtail at 425°F for 40 minutes, flipping halfway through. This gives the broth a deeper, richer flavor. 2. Transfer everything into a large pot and add enough water to cover the bones by about 1 to 2 inches. 3. Bring it to a boil, skim anything that rises to the top, then reduce it to a very gentle simmer. 4. Simmer for 4 to 12 hours. I let mine simmer for the full 12 hours! The longer it simmers, the richer and more gelatinous it becomes. 5. Strain the broth and add sea salt to taste. I recommend salting it at the end because the broth concentrates as it simmers. 6. Divide it into containers and refrigerate promptly. Keep it refrigerated for 3 to 4 days and freeze the rest in smaller portions for later. Bone broth naturally provides collagen, gelatin and amino acids like glycine, proline and glutamine that may support your intestinal barrier, connective tissues and overall gut health. It’s also warm, hydrating and incredibly comforting. 🤎 Sip a warm cup when you’re ready to break your fast, enjoy it in the morning instead of coffee or drink it throughout the day. You can also use it as the base for soups and other recipes. Food is medicine and the kitchen is our pharmacy. 🥑✨ If you need help learning how to eat in a way that supports your body, start with my 7 Day Challenge through the link in my bio. 💚
