Just give us a living wage. Stop allowing companies to make ‘record breaking profits’ on our basic essentials like food and water

The triple lock is mathematically stupid.

The biggest issue we have is the public sector is now too big in relation to the private sector as we have destroyed privately run companies. We can’t afford to keep public sector at this size.

Boomers had their entire lives to plan their retirement and lived through the best economy. Young people don't even have a shot.

A good social care service will do MORE than the triple lock. Older people get shoved to private social care because we don’t have enough that is free at the point of use, the private stuff is disgustingly expensive and will give so much more benefit in the long run.

It's not an attack, Suella. It's an adjustment in order to pay for something else which also benefits pensioners. It's just swings and roundabouts with the same money, but to tackle a huge problem

the boomer generation will happily hoard money and attack younger generations. When they themselves have had every benefit under the sun handed to them. We wont even see a pension and theyre trying to tell us to worry about theirs.

The way Suella said “NHS style system”with the insinuation of that as a negative says it all. Doesn’t want tax money going to the people, only to the shareholders and decision makers.

it's people trying to get rich. They don't want to be taxed, they cut corners, they sabotage it. It's all on purpose, and motivates by greed.

of course they do! Problem is older people vote more. Triple lock was a bung to their voters. Its not an entitlement its was a policy decision by a previous party which is wholly insustainable. And this framing that it is going to leave pensioners in dire straits and is cutting pensions is nonsense and meant to fuel fear. Farage himself said Reform couldnt commit to it and it was too expensive but now this policy is easy to attack when you know it will win you votes. Its so see through.

The politics that ran the economy 30/40 years ago simply no longer works, we need new approaches and fresh ways of thinking, only younger people in politics will deliver that.

Completely boomer centric. Politicians have abandoned the young to pander to the old. It's the complete opposite to how a successful society would work. Yes we should take care of our elderly, but we shouldn't take from everyone else to keep giving them more and more.

At some point though the triple lock HAS to stop, at this rate in 40 years it will require more tax money than taxes in the Uk
