People will call Daenerys mad and say she deserved her death for setting the city on fire, but they forget S2E1 where Cerci literally told the council to lock the farmworkers and peasants outside of the gates in the winter. The people who were ensuring survival of the city were the first ones who froze to death. Innocents died regardless of whose hand was behind it. But Cerci was too focused on war and sacrificed her own people before ensuring their survival. Daenerys acted so her people could live.
