Never been to Dubai, but I grew up in the Middle East. I can assure you this is true. One morning on the bus to school I saw a man sweeping the streets and he looked so malnourished, I put my hand out the window and gave him a singular coin that I was supposed to take to school to buy crisps. I will never forget this smile on his face.
