Everyone out there saying that it’s only the parents, think again. I’ve been in Jefferson County most of my life. I rode the buses while I was in school. I’ve noticed that schools do not want to hold students nor parents accountable any longer. Look at the policies of old compared to those today and you will see the difference. Students did not act like this then. Bus drivers were protected and students were aware of the consequences for when policies were violated. Parents and students had to sign an acceptable behavior document at the beginning of the year and it was upheld.
