Yes why should it just be down to the mother to support the child that 2 people made. Yeah I get people are stopped from seeing there kids but the one that are not and just don’t bother give them that are fighting to see there kids a bad name

tbh i am a full time dad and work! have been for 8 years! never needed csa or money from the mum! i have proven, you dont need that extra money! i think its all corrupted! just more momey for the other person! when they dont need it!

They should be done for child neglect for not providing for their child. If I was to leave my children to their own device I would be done for neglect .. so why are these other parents walking away and not providing and getting away with it.

Unless the other parent keeps maliciously trying to block you out of the kids lives . If this keeps happening and you have been going to court multiple times the court should at least put a temporary stop to the child support and or change custody.

No they shouldn’t be in the same conversation . But also the said other parent should help contribute to their child’s upbringing and the government needs to investigate these parents that say they have no earnings but work full time.

I agree it’s a legal requirement but if you get told when you split up you can’t see the child i think the parent shouldn’t be allowed to access the money but the other parent still pay into a fund.

If you don't provide for your child then they don't eat, they aren't warm and they suffer. It is child abuse. I feel like courts should look at that aspect.

If a dad isn’t making any financial contributions to the house where his child(ren) lives, why is a mother expected to facilitate contact? It’s a give and take situation…some dads want to watch a mother struggle but expect the most from them. It works both ways

It may be a “legal requirement” but many parents don’t so isn’t them going against it? So shouldn’t legal action be taken against that parent? Nothing happens if a parent doesn’t financially help towards their child so therefore it’s an option.

Legal requirement… that no one can enforce! More should be done to the parents that don’t pay, there are no consequences if you don’t? Or if you lie to the system to avoid it!

surely if they're not paying c.m then how on earth are they going to afford/be trusted to pay whilst they have your child in their care? cause if you're not paying me then how on earth can they be trusted to pay for food? or toiletries? or clothes? ect whilst in their care some parents expect the other parent to provide them with a bag full of stuff (food clothes ect) when the other parent hasn't contributed anything towards the cost of their child's needs so why should it be provided for them. the whole systems messed up

Child maintenance should be paid in vouchers so the parents can’t spend it on themselves. Most child support doesn’t get spent on the child the parents spend it on themselves.
