Ronaldo gave so much to the national team, no one's denying that. But the best way to honor that is to step aside once you can't give what you used to, and let the next generation in. He should have retired years ago. Insisting on playing tarnished his legacy, and he ended up leaving the national team in the worst way possible. The only people upset he's gone are die-hard Ronaldo fans. Most Portuguese people are ready to move forward
