@timtalksmoneysg: You can buy DBS shares for $770 instead of $7,700? From Monday, that's exactly what's happening. 👇 From 5 October, 11 SGX stocks trading above $10 will move from the usual 100-share board lot to just 10 shares per lot. That's 90% less capital needed to get in. Here's roughly what that looks like: DBS: about $7,700 ➡️ $770 UOB: about $4,300 ➡️ $433 OCBC: about $3,200 ➡️ $322 SGX: about $2,250 ➡️ $225 And these aren't sleepy small caps either. According to SGX, these 11 stocks made up 35% of trading activity on the exchange in the first half of this year. Three things worth knowing for investors: 1️⃣ Already own any of them? Nothing to do. Same shares, same stock code 2️⃣ SGX will review lot sizes every quarter, so more stocks could follow 3️⃣ Watch your brokerage fees. A minimum commission takes a much bigger bite out of a $300 trade than a $3,000 one My take? I feel the three banks, SGX and Keppel will draw the most attention. The banks were where the old lot sizes hurt the most, and the other two have seen a real resurgence in investor interest lately. Share this with someone who's been put off by big board lots, and give me a follow here for more Singapore investing and money insights. #singapore #fypsg #PersonalFinance #investing #stocks
