That's true! The world Yoruba originated from Oyo not Ife. Yoruba was imposed on the Southwesterners by the Bishop Ajayi Crowther and his SMS Missionaries and the British adopted it. There was no single name for the South Westerners until Ajayi Crowther came. Femi Fani Kayode was the first to raise this dust and he's also from Ife. Ifa doesn't recognize the word Yoruba.

hello tunde all the the dialects make up Yoruba and Ife is the origin of all yoruba. But incase Yagba doesn't want to be in yoruba nation or south west region then go with north central region, no problem.
