@mothershipsg: Passenger services on the JB-S'pore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link are now expected to begin in Feb. 2027, RTS Operations (RTSO), the operator of the cross-border rail service, announced on Oct 2. RTS was initially expected to start at the end of 2026. RTSO also said that the system tests and trial runs expected to be completed by the end of this year. Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Malaysia's Ministry of Transport said in a joint statement on that they had been informed of the revised timeline by RTSO. More time is needed for the remaining activities prior to service commencement, Singapore's LTA and Malaysia's MOT noted. Regulatory approvals to commence passenger operations can then be granted after authorities from both countries have reviewed and satisfied themselves with the independent safety certification. #mothershipnews
