If you are born in England you are in English regardless of your ethnicity. If you weren't born in England but live there and are proud to be living there you can still have pride in where you came from but still say I'm English because this is my home and i choose it to be so! This is what integration is! You also have the right to say you aren't English because you were born abroad! You still have a place in English society!

whenever someone makes the argument that you're not English because your parents or your grandparents weren't born here I'm always like..well what is the threshold? how many generations have to live here in order to be English? because go back far enough and most people that consider themselves English will find their ancestors weren't from here. like do you have to be completely descended from the anglo saxons to be English? no one is 100% anglo saxon. and even so the anglo saxons were invaders.
