My question is, where was security? What is the point of having security on campus if they aren't there when a situation like this is happening? If security is supposed to be walking around monitoring the school and helping prevent situations from escalating, how did it get this far? Schools this large should have security positioned throughout the campus, especially during passing periods and other busy times. In my opinion, there should be at least two or three security staff members assigned to each floor or major area so someone can respond immediately when a student is being chased, threatened, or attacked. A child should not have to run around looking for help while a dangerous situation continues.
