@charliejuniorcockatoo: How blessed am I to have married someone that loves animals as much as I do 🥹🫶🏼 Best day out ever at Morndyke Parrot Sanctuary in Thirsk 🦜 honoured to be invited there and to do a video raising awareness on this lovely place and beautiful birds! What started off as a pigeon rescue centre has now turned into an aviary full of birds & parrots of all species! The wait list is FULL, hence why we leave an important message please don’t buy parrots as pets if you know they will one day end up in one of these sanctuary’s as you can’t handle them 😭 For anyone who asks how I didn’t bring all these birds home *tempting* 🤭 but they are exactly where they need to be and this is now their home for life. It’s heartwarming but also sad. So many birds, they were probably just a whim. People don’t realise how demanding these creatures are. How complex their psyche is. And that they can live for a very long time.
