@vuonglucian: I stopped to photograph a lotus at Echo Park Lake in Los Angeles. At first, I saw only the flower— soft, delicate, beautiful. Then I noticed the seed pod beside it. And I started thinking… A flower does not bloom forever. Its beauty belongs to a moment. But inside that same moment, the future is already being prepared. The flower represents what we see. The seed represents what we cannot see yet. Maybe life is like that. We spend so much time holding on to beautiful moments, forgetting that everything changes. The flower will fade. The petals will fall. But the seeds remain. Perhaps the meaning of life isn’t to remain beautiful forever… but to leave something behind that can bloom after we are gone. 🌱 The City of Los Angeles describes the lotus at Echo Park Lake as a symbol of rebirth, purity, and life, and the lake has a long history of lotus cultivation and the annual Lotus Festival. 📸 Original photograph by Lucian Vuong Personal, educational & non-commercial use is welcome with credit to Lucian Vuong.
