Without any regret I spent over 2 years helping my ex put the pieces back together of her traumas and toxic past. Was there in ways that all dream about. Believed in her when she didn’t herself. My unconditional loving actions and words finally built strength enough for her to say goodbye. “I was only with you because you were a good man, I didn’t really like you, I struggled to kiss and be intimate with you. I finally found the courage to walk.” Damage as such can never be repaired, forgotten nor forgiven. It broke me in pieces that can never be put back together in the same way again. You have no idea how devastating this is to a kind caring man who put and gave all thinking the outcome would be us living the life we always talked about.
