i'm just a regular old nurse, but if you want to know how to do this correctly and you wanna put a protocol in place the first thing you need to do is put a policy in that all lethal injections will be done through a picc line that is verified by x-ray before the procedure. Now you have a cant miss IV access. next you get multiple drugs that kill you in different ways so you don't mess up. Get propofol get insulin get potassium and then add the drug they were using, but use enough of it to kill an elephant. Leave no doubt. The fact that this isn't policy already is beyond my belief.
