She has time. I had to drop out of college at that age due to somewhat similar circumstances (except it was DV). It took time to heal, but eventually I went back, finished, and now I'm a software developer. It's going to take some time for her but she is so young.

I had a severe addiction and my mom always said it ruined my life and it's so deeply the opposite of that. it gave me a depth most people don't get to experience and survive. I hate when she says it ruined my life.
