Little by little, I’m making my way back 🧡 I shared this last week, but I feel myself getting excited about running again. I’m wanting to do more, and hoping my body can align with my heart because I have ideas on what I’d like to do next. At the same time, I’m reminding myself to stay patient, present, and that focusing on the foundational elements of health, and strength are going to be what allows me to be ready to transfer those hopes/ideas in to action items when it comes to my running goals ☺️ It’s been cool checking in on my Training Status in my COROS app to see where I was at just 90 days ago compared to where I’m at now. There are 6 different categories (excessive, optimized, maintaining, resuming, performance, decreasing). As of now my status is categorized as “resuming” which lines up with my focus and goal for the last two weeks! I increased my volume last week, and this week maintained but tested out strides (woo hoo), so my body is adapting to the new stressors! Making sure that you’re applying the right amount of training stress is crucial when it comes to performance, and more importantly, health as a runner. Factoring in your recovery, life stress, and fueling are additional pieces to this important puzzle. Using technology tools like my @COROS is helpful because I can leverage different metrics to determine how to proceed with my training (how I’m feeling, what my data is reading, and what my training is saying)! Are there any tools or metrics you pay attention to to see how your body is responding to your training? 👇🏼 ⌚️COROS Pace 3: use code ‘tonikengor’ to get you a free watch band with the purchase of a new watch! #trainwithcoros #instarunner #runningcoach #runcoach #runcoaching #runchat #trainingtip #coroswatch #injuredrunner #returntorunning
