How do you think the men will act to disestablish the patriarchy if we shift to a more matriarchal setting?

Very well said! We need communities back, and no human should take all the responsibilities like working, taking care of the kids and their old parents at the same time. Sounds like living hell.

I always knew my marriage was unhealthy but when I hit perimenopause it was like a veil lifted. I realised I'd been a single married parent for years! I was too exhausted and honestly too afraid to break from the shackles. Now my children are adults. 2 out of 3 never want to marry, including my gay son, who is equally desperate for a matriarchal society. And my eldest daughter who just got extremely lucky and married her best friend. I think it's heartbreakingly sad my generation has suffered at the hands of the patriarchy. But I'm hoping it allows the next generations to rise up and no longer stand for the patriarchal and misogynistic BS! To any young ladies reading this... support eachother, prioritise eachother, protect eachother and DO NOT allow yourselves to lose friends, family, freedom, your passions and your finances because of a man 🙏

I just talked about this with my two sisters. We all have small children, and we’re just talking that why not to move together to countryside, grow vegetables, have chickens and communally take care of our children. We could even have small houses with some shared yard in between. We would honestly manage just all of us working part-time and taking turns being at home and taking care of our kids.

Yes I agree, would love to live with women! But I also love my son and I want to tell him men are great as well, so he envisions it. We have to need to make really sure that we raise our sons right so they don't become toxic and lonely men, despite bad role models.

I am 21 years old and I have a kinda of complex view about mariage and love my whole life, but then in my last relationship I was so manipulated by a man (who didnt even meet my standards) but succeeded in having me, he tried to force me to mariage like ACTUALLY force me and threatened me that if I dont he will do this and that and tell my parents this and that anyways the minute I got out of that relationship(its been 2 years now) I cant see myself getting married.

This makes me feel better about basically shutting down at 45 after 20 years of living for my family. Relearning to love and center myself once again. 🥰

True 💯... I'm at this point now... Little bit younger, but... Listen to your instinct and be yourself like you are, don't do things you don't want... Listen to yourself, live self expression...

you are so right. I love the idea about how we make a community with eachother, sounds very nice. Im actually pretty young and scared most of the time about the future of humanity and myself. I always think my future will be mostly me working overtime without starting a family and achieving something great for humanity (that's how i wish it to be), but it also scares me to think that im missing out on the ordinary stuff like everybody else, like my propose reproduce and die like everyone elses or something. Gosh sorry for long comments:(

Why should there be less men than women in these communities? Wouldn't that just reinforce that men don't care for children and just work? Can't we all live in together in small communities?

I asked my husband to take on one night shift in the first year of child's life. i was sleep deprived and desperate. He denied because "he has to work" AND told me that no other women ever had this kind of struggles and that i shouldn't have become a mother if i cannot cope alone.

Yes, having kids as a woman without a big support system, like parents, siblings, aunts or especially grandparents, can be really hard. If your child gets sick, you can normally call your mom, dad or partner for help, but even a partner is never a 100% guarantee. Things can change or the relationship might not work out. If you don’t have family support, having children can be a really big risk. You can lose a lot of freedom and opportunities in this society when you have to take care of children, especially if you’re already struggling with work and don’t have a strong support system.
