I don’t know you, and I never knew your wife, but I came across your account and saw how much love and grief you’ve been carrying since you lost her. I couldn’t just pass by without leaving you a few words. I’m a Muslim, and perhaps we may differ in many things, but I believe that the pain of losing someone we love knows no religion, no language, and no boundaries. When someone loses their life partner, they lose so many little pieces of the life they were used to waking up to every day. That kind of pain cannot be healed by a few words. Please don’t ever think that still crying for her means you are weak or that you haven’t moved on. Sometimes tears are simply the heart’s way of saying, “She meant so much to me.” True love doesn’t become smaller just because the person we love is no longer here. As a Muslim, I believe that God is more merciful to us and to those we love than we could ever understand, and that His mercy is greater than every pain we cannot make sense of. So even though I never knew your wife, I will pray for her mercy, and I will pray that God gives you patience, peace, and strength to carry this loss. And I hope you allow yourself to keep living—not because you have forgotten her, but because every day you continue to live carries a little piece of her with you. Smile when you remember her smile. Talk about her. Hold on to the beautiful things she left behind in your heart. Maybe the longing will never completely disappear. Maybe one day it will come back through a song, a familiar place, a scent, or a quiet moment when you suddenly feel close to her again. Don’t be afraid of those moments. Some people leave our hands, but their presence remains in our souls for a very long time. I ask God to ease the weight on your heart, to give you peace when the memories become heavy, and to make your love for her a warm memory rather than a wound that stays open forever. I don’t know you, but your grief reached me. And I sincerely hope that one day you’ll remember her and cry because of how deeply you loved her, rather than because of how deeply it hurts to have lost her R.I.P🕊️
