@whiskstowhiskers: When people see Baby Corn for the first time, they often focus on his small size and the way he moves. He's an unusual cat for sure. But because he's been my little man for the past 1.5 years, I see a cat who gets to travel with me because he's special. He isn't frustrated that he falls over, it is just part of his exploration and a reflection of his excitement. Each time he tips over, he gets back up and keeps going. When I see him walk, I'm reminded that life is full of starts and stops, we may fall along the way, but how we recover is the important part. He is smaller, slower, and less graceful than an average cat, but it's part of his superpower. People see him walk and think he must be frustrated all the time and that I should do more to protect him, but cats don't operate like we do, he is most upset when he doesn't have the autonomy to be him and explore the way he wants to explore. On this visit, he didn't mind falling, it's a normal part of his life, but his least favorite part is that I sometimes had to pick him up. He is safe because I watch him, but I don't try to change him or reduce his world because he's different. #babycorncat #cerebellarhypoplasia #wobblycat #dwarfcat #specialneedscat
