Homeschooling completely eliminates the risk of them getting any sort of a world view or informed opinions that differs from yours.

they are missing out a on well rounded education from trained professionals and the ability to form independent thoughts outside of their family, not activities.

I was homeschooled and I always say I wish my parents would have sent me to public school. I didn't want to go at the time but in adult life you realize how important the exposure to different personalities is important

1. Most people don't have the time or ressources to homeschool their kids
2. Then why do you let your oldest go to public school?

The reason why the question doesn’t work in the reverse is because most people aren’t qualified or have the means to homeschool.

I’ve never realized why homeschooling is so easy. Teachers have to study for years to be qualified enough to teach the kids. But most parents who are homeschooling, are not. Also when you are in a public school, you see so much more diversity, you learn how to communicate with different people and you get certain kind of routine. So i don’t get why so many people are not trusting public schools to educate their kids 💔

hey! that's because homeschooling is an additional commitment on the parent and public school isnt :)

but what about the knowledge they get in school? if you don’t have education in different subjects, there is absolutely no way you can actually teach them. biology, physics, chemistry, it’s all needed for your children’s mental development

If I don’t have a degree in any kind of education my kids will not be homeschooled. If they are in highschool and want online school they can but I will closely monitor grades.

What teaching qualifications do you have if you don’t mind me asking? Must be a big age range to give attention they all need

The difference is not all parents have the option to stay home with their kids. So the vice versa isn’t fair. unregulated homeschool education instead of researched, education provided by professionals is a choice.

they dont know that they want it because you immediately homeschooled them, the normal thing to do is let your children go to public school and then if they cannot deal with said public school homeschooling is a great option, and yes homeschooled children miss out on so much. You sending them to activities at your church is not the same as making memories with your friends at school
