Imagine being born with a mental disorder completely out of your control, fetal alcohol syndrome, and then as a baby experiencing extreme neglect and abuse, followed by SA as a toddler, child and finally "grape" as a teen, never knowing a safe space, trusting any adult in your life, or learning emotional safety. Then navigating teenage hormones and a still developing brain. Anger and rage you don't understand... your brain is still developing and you have zero skills in controlling your anger... how the heck do we hold someone like this accountable "as an adult" for their horrible decision's?? Then to be kept in solitary confinement for the next 30 years... while finally understanding the impact of your actions... prepare to die and finally be left in a vegetative state... this is a crazy system.
