I was 20 when I lost my mom to cancer. Next year, I turn 40. Half of my life without her. And somehow, I still make so many decisions with her in mind, as if she might call me tomorrow and tell me she’s proud of me. I wish I could tell people that grief gets easier. But if I’m being honest, I don’t think it does. Sometimes the thought that my mom never got to know me as an adult is suffocating. She never got to meet this version of me. The wife and mother I became. Who was so influenced by the woman she was. And I never got the chance to know her through adult eyes, either.

It’s shit because it’s true 😢 my mum died in 2018 from cancer, 4 months before my wedding 😟 then my dad 6 years after mum 🤦‍♀️I’m stuck in the stillness of being orphaned 🫣 I don’t know what I’m ment to do and just sleeping day and night. I put my face on with friends and my husband but I’m stuck in the moments

🍲The Perfect Beef Broth Recipe for a Family Reunion (Scene: Jesus sitting at a long, rustic wooden table filled with aiful feast) A true miracle of food multiplication that happens every Sunday--when we cook for our family with love. Follow these steps to get a clear, transparent broth full of "homecooked flavor." 🥩Nutritious Broth Ingredients 1.5 kg fresh beef (at the butcher, get a bone-in beef shank for rich texture; and a bone- rib for flavor). 1 large white onion, whole. 1 large head of garlic, washed and halved lengthwise (with skin on). 3 ears of corn, husked,, and cut into thick segments. 4 large carrots, peeled and cut into medium chunks. 4 white potatoes, washed and quartered. 3 young zucchinis, cut into rounds. 1/4 head of cabbage, cut into large chunks. 1 large handful of fresh cilantro, washed. Coarse salt, to taste. 🧑‍🍳Detailed InstructionsStep 1: Clean the meat: In your largest pot, add all the beef, the whole onion, the halved head of garlic, and a large handful of coarse salt. Cover plenty of water (about 4 to 5 liters). Step 2: The secret to clarity: Bring to a boil over high heat. Pay close attention: as it starts boil, a layer of dark, gray foam will rise to the surface. Repeatedly skim off and discard this foam with a spoon. This is the key secret to keeping the broth clear and free off-flavors. Step 3: Slow simmer: Once the broth stops foaming, turn the heat down to medium-low. Cover the pot and simmer patiently for 15 to 2 hours. When you poke the meat with a fork, it should feel very tender and start to fall off the bone. Step 4: The order of vegetables Do not add all the vegetables at once. First, add the corn (the hardest kind), cover the pot, and cook for 15 minutes. Step 5: Perfect texture: the quartered carrots and potatoes. Stir gently and cook for another 12 minutes. #Christianity #DivineGrace #ReligiousIcon #Jesus #foryou
