It was October 2024 at Cornell University in Ithaca A woman we will call Jane Doe ended up at a Chi Phi Frat party and from the reports we are seeing she was essentially far too intoxicated to consent to anything and was then assaulted by a group of men. These men also allegedly had a snapchat group chat where they discussed the crimes. Jane Doe reported the assault, she stated she had been hit and was coerced into the activity. She reported this in November 2024 to campus police None of the men were charged or arrested and some simply had to complete an essay as punishment. In the lawsuit, she said she was plied with substances, “slapped” multiple times, and her “phone was on the other side of the room and she felt as if there was no way for her to escape’’ We don’t know if any of the accused men are still Cornell students and there is now a lawsuit underway.
